The mission of the Mid-Atlantic Region of the American Music Therapy Association is to advance public awareness of the benefits of music therapy, to increase access to quality music therapy services, and to provide support to its members within the Mid-Atlantic Region.

The NYSTF has paused its efforts and a reassessment of the best way to meet the needs of New York music therapists is underway. This reassessment will include consideration of the sustainability of the task force (co-chairs & delegation of workload) and financial commitments (timeframe and needs for lobbyist) of the regional and national organizations. The MAR-AMTA Executive Board and the national team and leadership from AMTA and CBMT would like to express our gratitude to the immediate former members of the NYSTF. For individuals seeking information about qualifications, application process, continuing education, and renewal requirements for the NYS Creative Arts Therapy License (LCAT), please visit or call the Mental Health Practitioners Board in the NYSED Office of the Professions:
