Dear MAR Music Therapy Community,
On behalf of the AMTA Board of Directors (BOD) and the MAR Executive Board, we are pleased to share with you the press release announcing the appointment of Jeanne Ellinport as the new Executive Director of AMTA, effective September 1, 2019.
Based in Washington, D.C., Ms. Ellinport brings 25 years of leadership experience working with regional, national, and global organizations in government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors including the American Red Cross and Prevent Cancer Foundation. The candidate search was led by the Raffa-Marcum agency as part of the original agreement with AMTA in conjunction with the AMTA Transition Committee. Ms. Ellinport was chosen for this position from an original pool of 43 candidates after an extensive interview process, with unanimous approval from the Board of Directors, and signed a three year agreement as Executive Director.
