MAR-AMTA’s FIRST Instrument Swap & Buy

Hello friends and members of MAR-AMTA! 

The conference planning committee continues to be gearing up for an incredible 2022 conference in Harrisburg PA. We hope you will be joining us in person or virtually (2022 MAR-AMTA Registration) 

COVID-19 has impacted the availability of instrument vendors, so we are thinking OUTSIDE of Box! One of the things we enjoy at conferences is the opportunity to refresh or add to our supply of music instruments. With your support, we are organizing a table in the exhibit hall for you to bring, swap, and buy instruments. To support this project, please bring a bag of new instruments or instruments in very good condition to the conference that equals approximately $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $35, $40, or $45. 

Here are the guidelines for Swapping:

  1. Bring a bag of instruments*, new/very good condition that equals approximately $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $35, $40, or $45**
  1. Bring instrument/s to the MAR instruments table in the exhibit hall and register them with the attending person. 
  1. From here, you have TWO options:
  1. Exchange for one or more bags of instruments that are an equal amount  
  2. Collect a coupon to exchange for one or more bags of an equal amount at some time during the conference
  1. All bags of instruments not exchanged/purchased need to be picked up by Saturday at 10 am. Otherwise, the bags will be donated. 

Here are the guidelines for Buying instruments:

  1. Visit the Swap & Buy table in the exhibit hall throughout the conference
  1. Select bags of the instruments you can use
  1. Depending on the amount of your purchase, you can pay using:

– Cash (limited changes is available, bring small bills)

– Check made out to MAR-AMTA

– Coupon from your contribution + cash/check

*If your instruments do not fit in a bag, please wrap in clear cling wrap (saran wrap).    

**We reserve the right to check prices of bags online if needed.
