Kendall Joplin
Treasurer Elect
Kendall Joplin, MME, MT-BC is a music therapist in Washington, D.C. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Music Therapy from Sam Houston State University, Master’s in Music Education – Music Therapy from University of Kansas, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Expressive Arts Therapies at Lesley University. She works full-time clinically at a forensic psychiatric hospital in Washington, D.C., and as an adjunct professor at Washington Adventist University and Molloy University. Kendall is excited to be joining the MAR board and looks forward to serving the region.
As per the MAR-AMTA Bylaws, Article III, Section 8, the Treasurer-Elect shall: study the duties of the Treasurer in order to be prepared at the appropriate time to take over the responsibilities of the office; assist the Treasurer as requested; maintain communication with the Treasurer; serve as Conference Treasurer for conferences of the Region; assume all duties of the Treasurer in case of resignation or removal of the Treasurer; attend Regional Executive Board meetings and conferences of the Region during their term of office; serve as a member of the Finance Committee; establish and/or maintain a handbook outlining job responsibilities; and carry out such other duties as may be assigned by the President or the Executive Board.
