Music To Grow On, Music Therapy Services, INC. (MTGO) was established in 2000 to provide Music Therapy for individuals with special needs throughout Sacramento, Yolo, Solano, El Dorado, and Placer Counties. MTGO has remained committed to using music to assist individuals with special needs reach their fullest potential.
MTGO continues to expand their vision and is establishing work with individuals and groups of all ages and abilities. MTGO contracts with 25+ school districts, two long term communities, five crisis homes for mental health, ALTA California Regional Center, and also serves private pay clients.
MTGO continues to expand their services in the community. MTGO is a mobile business based out of West Sacramento, California serving facilities, schools, and individuals throughout Placer, Solano, Sacramento, El Dorado, and Yolo Counties.

Job Description
Board Certified Music Therapist working with individuals and groups of all ages and abilities.
Primary client group is IEP students ages 3-22 but there are opportunities for those interested to work with our contracts with long term care facilities, adults with intellectual disabilities, and early intervention clients.
Essential Job Duties
Develop and provide appropriate music therapy interventions to support a variety of diagnoses and challenges ranging from physical, cognitive, emotional, and intellectual disabilities.
Conduct group and individual sessions
Establish therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages
Manage resources, including time, driving, client services, and equipment
Manage personal schedule to ensure that clients receive all approved hours
Maintain progress reports for all clients including monthly logs, quarterly progress, and IEP reports.
Drive to various locations to see clients at schools, homes, and facilities
Keep good communication lines open with supervisor and team members
Document interventions as required for varied contracts
Communicate with treatment teams
Employ musical skills in non-therapeutic setting by teaching adaptive music lessons
Provide engaging and interactive activities for children’s group
Attend Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings
Supervise interns
Navigate telehealth services where needed
Pay and Benefits:
Entry rate $30/hour
$13/hour +$0.625/mile for travel
$17/hour for training time
