Hello music therapists of the Mid-Atlantic Region!
The new executive board was seated at the end of June, and we are looking for those who may be interested in holding various appointed positions on the board and also for representatives to national committees within AMTA including:
- Executive Board Positions (non-voting)
Historian
Newsletter Editor
Parliamentarian - AMTA National Committee Representatives
Academic Program Approval Committee
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee
International Relations Committee
Judicial Review Board
Technology Committee - MAR Conference Planning
Regional Exhibit Coordinator
Regional Event Planner
CMTE Chair
Regional Exhibit Coordinator: develops and maintains ongoing relationships with potential exhibitors, advertisers, and sponsors; contacts schools, universities, internships, and potential exhibitors/advertisers outside of the local area of the conference; provides Exhibits Prospectus; receives advertisements and sponsorships; works closely with local exhibit/fundraising committee to coordinate Exhibit Hall and door prizes; coordinates security for Exhibit Hall.
Regional Event Planner (REP): serves as primary liaison to Hospitality Performance Network (HPN) and conference hotels/center; participates in site visits as needed; creates and updates Master Event Plan including room assignments, AV/instrument needs, and technical support; oversees Master Bill including initial negotiations, submission to Executive Board/President for review, and final approval; reserves complimentary hotel rooms as per policy; coordinates food and beverage events, maintains communication with the conference venue during the conference event for immediate needs.
