Sounds of Recovery: Music Therapy in Medical Settings is a one-day conference featuring presentations about matters surrounding the practice of music therapy in hospital settings with a variety of client populations. A keynote address, nine concurrent sessions, a panel discussion and a closing keynote will be offered to provide learning experiences for a target audience comprised of practicing music therapists, hospital professionals, educators, and students. The conference will provide 6 CMTE credits for MT-BCs and 6 CPE hours for LCATs.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Participants will recognize practical music therapy skills and interventions to increase the breadth and scope of clinical practice in the medical setting
  • Participants will enhance their knowledge of music therapy with specific medical populations
  • Participants will strengthen and expand their music therapy networks by sharing idea pertaining to the medical music therapy field
