Greetings MAR-AMTA!!
I am excited to serve as your new VP of Membership. MAR is renowned for its members who daily exhibit 1) passionate service, 2) commitment to music therapy field advancement, and 3) dedication to the professional growth fostered by our inter-connectivity. These are just some of the reasons why I love MAR!! And throughout the remaining year, I welcome the opportunity to serve, learn, share, and join with you in our established legacy.
Member Stat Update
We end our 2nd quarter with a total of 863 MAR members. This is a 97-member increase from the 1st quarter. Member numbers for this year and the previous years for the second quarter are as follows:

Community Dialogues
Our thoughts go out to all those who have been impacted by the recent shootings in the US and abroad. We acknowledge the historical and sociopolitical context in which these events take place and the continued impact national unrest has upon the membership body, the communities in which you live, and clients you serve. In the upcoming months we will reach out to you with information about ongoing and new initiatives aimed to create spaces for continued dialogue regarding the intersections of such events and our professional work.
